Case:David was anointed to be king 17 years earlier before he actually walked in the position. He had the anointing minus the position while Saul operated in a position which he had no anointing.
Point:The anointing always precedes the position. God has already anointed you for a position of a future date. Just let Him continue to build you up in the things of God and He will use you mightily for His purpose
UNDERSTANDING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE OLIVE TREE AND ANOINTING OIL In the Old Testament, God ordained the anointing oil to bless His people. But what can new covenant believers use it for today? Today we will see scriptures from the Bible how the anointing oil speaks of Christ and His finished work. Understanding this will give you access to God’s supernatural provision of health, wholeness and prosperity! The Bible mentions in many places the grain, wine and oil. For years, I had wondered why the Lord always mentions these three items together. So I asked the Lord and I thank Him that the search is over. Through the grain, wine and oil, we can receive by grace, not by accomplishing or striving, all the benefits of Jesus. Man ate his way into trouble in the Garden of Eden. By the same token, you can eat your way back into God’s blessings today. Seeing Christ In The Grain, Wine And Oil The grain and wine represent the Holy Communion, which speaks of...
A NEW BEGINNING Doesn't a new beginning sound great? When life becomes difficult, you have failed several times, you have messed up a perfect relationship, and you are bored of your job, your house, your friends, and family; a new start sounds exciting when we find ourselves stuck in the mediocrities of life. Do you know what Jesus did on the cross over two thousand years ago enables you to have a new start even now? Though many believers know this truth, they still live beneath this truth every day because somehow the lie of the old life seems to envelop their souls. The fact is the enemy of our souls knows if he can keep us looking back we would make little progress in the future God has for us. We all have a past, and for some, it may be memorable, for others it may be horrible. Whatever the past looks like the enemy majors in causing us to indulge in what was. We serve a God that loves to plan ahead for his children, and scripture tells us that his plans are always good in t...
The Symptoms of Stopped-up Ears Adam and Eve knew God firsthand! The coming generations of their family members also knew God or at least knew of Him well. Slowly, over the many years, most people stopped thanking and acknowledging God as their source. Sin increased. Most sins are just symptoms of a more deeply rooted sin: the sin of stopping up our ears to the truth of God and instead listening to a lie. When we stop recognizing God as the Giver of all good things, we stop seeing clearly. We stop thinking wisely. We refuse to listen to truth. Romans chapter one plainly reveals this reality. And here’s a sobering statement: refusing to listen to the truth is, essentially, rejecting God. Now, as Christians, we obviously embrace God’s Word as truth. But we must keep our ears unclogged by recognizing and rejecting false truths and remaining tuned in to God’s voice. Equally sobering is the fact that truth rejecters often drag others into their pits of deception, as we learned...
